Valerie Bishop, LCSW

Valerie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides individual, couples, and family therapy primarily with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, abuse/trauma/PTSD, relationship issues, and parenting challenges. She incorporates EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Havening Techniques, and other action-oriented or alternative methods as desired by the client, along with a person-centered approach that includes reflective listening, support, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Valerie earned her bachelor’s degree from James Madison University and her clinical Master of Social Work degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, and she has been practicing for 30 years. She has also worked with children and teens in outpatient, inpatient, and community mental health settings.

Collin Jones, LCSW

Collin graduated from the VCU School of Social Work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. He has spent the past five years counseling youth and young adults, many of whom have foster care backgrounds. He focuses on helping individuals address trauma, substance use, and a range of mental health challenges, drawing from Narrative, Cognitive Behavioral, and Solution-Focused frameworks. Collin takes a client-centered, partnership-based approach to therapy, emphasizing trust and empowering clients to develop coping skills, process emotions, and strengthen resilience. He believes that with the right guidance and support, everyone has the capacity to grow into the best version of themselves.

In his free time, Collin enjoys hiking, cooking, running, and exploring the outdoors. He also volunteers as a marathon coach and views healing and growth as a long-distance journey rather than a sprint, one that calls for patience, pacing, and trust in the process.
